Apostolos Leventopoulos is a guitarist and composer whose work bridges jazz, acoustic, and world music traditions. He holds a Classical Guitar Degree and a Bachelor’s in Jazz Performance from the Berklee College of Music, and has collaborated with a wide spectrum of renowned Greek and international artists, including Gilad Atzmon, Sean Corby, Alex Foster, Marek Patrman, Logan Richardson, Rex Richardson, Peter Slavov, Dayna Stephens, Erik Vermeulen, and Jason Yarde.

Active across Jazz, Funk, and World music scenes, he has performed at festivals and venues throughout Greece and internationally, with appearances in the United States, Brazil, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Portugal, and Singapore. An in-demand session musician, he has contributed to numerous recordings and maintains a rich discography.

As a leader, he has released three albums:

• After the Spirit (BreezeHouse)
• The Hidden Beauty (BreezeHouse)

Leventopoulos has also composed, arranged, and performed music for theatre and dance productions with the Greek National Theatre, the National Theatre of Northern Greece, and a variety of contemporary theatre and dance companies such as Oktana, Dameblanche, Fingersix, Theatre Company Polis, and Creo Dance Company.

An experienced educator, he has taught guitar and music theory both privately and at prominent conservatories, including the Philippos Nakas Conservatory and the Yiorgos Fakanas Conservatory. He is currently a faculty member at the University of Ioannina’s Department of Music Studies, where he teaches Jazz Guitar, Jazz Theory, and Jazz History.
